I Wasn’t Going to Write Today …

After yesterday’s post, I had planned to take a day off and settle from all the emotions that were raging through me. BUT! I had a very nice surprise that changed everything and I feel FREE!

I’m not going to go into the surprise here today, I want to savor it and let it marinate in my mind, heart, and deep in my soul. But once the newness fades a teeny tiny bit, I will come back and share some of the details with you all. You know how I LOVE to spill some tea, LOL!

Just know, it started with a simple birthday wish that I was unsure of how it would be received. That simple act of reaching out turned into a few email exchanges, a few more text messages, and culminated in a THREE-HOUR-long phone conversation.

It was exactly as if we never lost contact more than 50 years ago and fate was standing in the shadows just waiting for the right time to re-establish the lost connection. This was the MOST amazing feeling I have EVER experienced!!

Yes, I am cautiously excited to see what fate has in store for this renewed connection, but most of me believes this is exactly what was supposed to happen at this exact moment in time in the lives of the people it will affect. There are no obstacles, no ties to anyone keeping us apart, nothing standing in the way.
